WHAT IS A TRUCKING SURVIVALIST?

My definition of a Trucking Survivalist is two fold. As an owner operator truck driver I am trying to survive lower revenue and increased costs. Revenue is down by close to 50% over last year due to a failing economy. My costs have been close to the same as last year but that is starting to change. My truck has 850,000 miles on it starting to have problems. Just this week spent 1500.00 for 4 new drive tires and will have to replace the other 4 by november. There have been close to 250,000 trucks that went out of business in the last year and more on the way. Hopefully I will still be in business on the other side of this depression/recession.

The other part is preparing my family with where I think our economy and our way of life is headed. The government now owns our banks, mortgages, automobiles, they pay farmers not to plant, and now they want control of our healthcare. GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF MONEY+JOBS+FOOD+HEALTHCARE= SOCIALISM! So we have buying extra food, ammo, and other supplies just in case. JUST IN CASE covers several areas such as a tyrannical government, hurricanes earthquake, pandemic, unemployment, inflation or anything else that might require you to survive 100% on your own. Just remember food and ammo especially are not going to get any cheaper. It was nothing for our grandparents to keep a year of food on hand JUST IN CASE. Make sure you store foods that you already eat and learn to grow some of your own.
So as a TRUCKING SURVIVALIST I stay busy.
AND REMEMBER "IF YOU BOUGHT IT A TRUCK BROUGHT IT!"

MY FIRST POST

The reason I started this blog was to have a place to write down my thoughts. It may be politics, survival preparedness, trucking, guns, or anything else I might feel is important. So if you have any comments or recommendations let me know.

Today I am in Denver Colorado and it looks like it is going to be a very nice day. I had to stay over this weekend to put my truck in the shop. I have been having driveline problems with the truck. Hopefully it is not something major. My truck is a 2003 volvo 770 with 800,000 miles on it. I will let everyone know what the damage is once i get it out of the shop. So for now!! Good Weather and Good Trucking!!!
